International Policy


The mission of the International Relations and Students Department is to manage, coordinate and supervise all international activities at Paris Ouest. Facilitating both student and teacher exchanges and managing the funding for international partnerships is, indeed, one of the priorities of the university's international policy.
Welcoming foreign students and organizing overseas study for Paris Ouest students are two more aspects of the International Relations Department's mission. More than 3000 students from every continent are welcomed to Paris Ouest every year. They come as participants in exchange programs or they choose to come here to study independently.

Welcoming Independent International Students


This process consists in several steps: disseminating information regarding the programs offered at Paris Ouest and the conditions of matriculation at the university; examining students admissions applications to make sure they meet administrtive criteria; forwarding the applications to the pedagogic committees of the various departments who are in turn responsible for examining the academic aspects of the application. Welcoming Exchange Students


The International Relations Department manages more than 400 bilateral agreements signed both as part of the SOCRATES program (with more than 170 European universities) and within the framework of individual exchange agreements with North America (United States, Canada), Latin America (Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico), Asia (China, India, Japan, Thailand), Russia, the Middle East (Jordan), Africa (South Africa, Senegal, Cameroon) and Oceania.
Some of these programs allow students to obtain joint diplomas from Paris Ouest and the partner university or even diplomas from both institutions. Their number is constantly growing. International students who wish to study at Paris Ouest through an exchange program should apply through the department responsible for the program at their home university. [Read more...]
